In Farmer’s Villa we want to take care of the nature and maintain the biodiversity in our farm. Also we want to provide fresh and clean organic food for our guest, to make sure that the meals are healthy and tasty. That is possible by using organic farming.
In organic farming, we don’t use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Fertilizers have a short-term effect on productivity but a longer-term negative effect on the environment where they remain for years. Pesticides and chemical fertilizers destroy fertility and productivity of the soil and can cause diseases like diabetes, cancer and mental retardation.
Organic farming has many benefits, for example, it discourages environmental exposure to pesticides and chemicals, builds healthy soil, fights the effect of global warming, helps combat erosion and supports water conservation and water health. Studies says that organic farming is better for human health too. Organic food has more nutrients as minerals, vitamins and enzymes compared to those from conventional farms. Moreover, it is said that they have a natural and better taste.
In our farm, we grow many different vegetables and fruits. You can have a walk through the farm and find, for example, carrots, radishes, cauliflowers, peas, potatoes, tomatoes, mustard, lentils, mangoes and different type of citrus fruits. They are all organic.
